To get to Rocca Martinengo go to Menzino and look for the path towards Sensole. After only a few metres climb you will arrive at the Castle.
There’s a legend surrounding the castle that tells of a tyrant feudal lord of the castle, who continuously scanned the lake and struck any boats that would not lower their sail in salute with his cannon.

It’s located at over 600 m above sea level and placed on a rocky outcrop, in one of the most impressive sights of the island. To get to the Sanctuary you start from Senzano and you need to walk for around 40 minutes.
The poet Emilia Belli conjures the Sanctuary in the final verses of her poem dedicated to it:
“And the white temple that – if the day fades – seems to rebel against shadows, the green coast still laughing, silent flutter the stars.”

This is a picturesque village with a pretty marina where the naèt are moored, the typical boat of the lake Iseo fishermen.

To reach Siviano, follow the coast from Peschiera, or reach it by boat, landing in Porto. The village is located on one of the rises of the island and allows enjoying the wonderful view of the Bergamo coast.

Sensole can be reached by food travelling along a busy coastal road from Peschiera Maraglio with many picnic areas among the olives and the many bars and restaurants.

Carzano is a small village made up of ancient fishermen’s houses. This location is the best for admiring the small island of Loreto and the coast of the Alto Sebino, the upper part of the lake.

This is the lake’s smallest island, located to the north of Monte Isola. The Island of Loreto is private property. In the 1400s a convent for the sisters of Santa Chiara was built. Today there is a beautiful neo-gothic style castle with an evergreen park and the marina. The island can be visited with an organised tour, and there are boats departing for organised tours. Located to the south of Monte Isola. The island is private property. Here lived fishers, monks and noblemen. It is said that a large monastery was built but in 1700, when the island became private property, the monastery and church were completely destroyed.
